Accessing Postgres, Valkey and Victorialogs over VPN

Zipup Cloud uses WireGuard to provide secure access to internal services like Postgres, Valkey (Redis), and VictoriaLogs.

This allows you to connect to your infrastructure as if it were running locally.

Installing WireGuard

Install the WireGuard client from the official website:

Creating a Peer

  1. In the zipup admin console, go to the WireGuard section from the sidebar
  2. Click Create Peer
  3. A new peer will be created

After creating a peer:

  1. Click Download Config
  2. This will download a .conf file for that peer
note

Each machine(like your local machine, your CI/CD runner) requires a separate peer configuration

Keep your .conf file secure

Connecting to WireGuard

  1. Open the WireGuard application
  2. Click Import Tunnel
  3. Select the downloaded .conf file
  4. Click Connect
  5. Wireguard application should show the status active
